James Gordon Joins Cognosante as President, a New Position for the Company

FALLS CHURCH, VA—March 18, 2019—Cognosante, a leader in health information technology solutions and services for Federal and state public health agencies, today announced the appointment of James Gordon as President.

Gordon joins Cognosante from Maximus Federal, where he served as Division President, responsible for the divestiture of the General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) portfolio recently purchased by Maximus Corporation.

Prior to Maximus, Gordon spent 11 years at GDIT. As Vice President and General Manager at GDIT, Gordon provided executive leadership to more than 20,000 health and health IT professionals and led profit and loss divisions exceeding $1 billion in annual revenues. Teams under his leadership supported the Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Veterans Affairs, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and more.
